MUNICIPALITIES IN TURKEY

In order to finance the “Urban Transport Program” İller Bank (ILBANK) has received €150,000,000 Program Financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The ILBANK intends to apply the financing from the IsDB toward the cost of Gaziray Suburban Line Project and Kayseri Light Rail Transport Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to the payments for goods to be procured under Gaziray Suburban Line Project and to the payment of works and goods to be procured under the Kayseri Light Rail Transport Project.
The project would include the following procurements:
Gaziray Suburban Line and Light Rail Transit Project will include procurement and acquisition of 8 train sets - 32 trains (8 sets of each 4 units),
Kayseri Light Rail Transport Project will include civil work comprising of the construction and laying of 5.52 km long new two-line light urban railway infrastructure, necessary electrical and mechanical installations, electricity, communications, systems, drainage structures as well as construction of 9 stations and procurement and acquisition of 8 light urban vehicles (trains).
Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods, Works and related services under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing (current edition) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the IsDB’s international competitive bidding (ICB) or international competitive bidding – member countries (ICB/MC) procedures will be announced, as they become available, in IsDB Website, ILBANK website and the relevant municipalities’ website (Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality or Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality).
