SU, KANALİZASYON VE ALTYAPI PROJESİ (SUKAP)

Water and Sewerage Infrastructure Project (SUKAP-Su, Kanalizasyon ve Altyapı Projesi) is a program initiated in 2011 to support municipalities in their water, sewerage and infrastructure projects. Within this framework:

• Municipalities with a population of 25.000 or less are provided with a grant covering 50% of the project cost from the General Budget, as per the Presidential Decree, while the remaining 50% is financed through long-term loans extended by ILBANK.
• For municipalities with a population of over 25.000, as listed in the annex of the Presidential Decree, loans are allocated by ILBANK without requiring compliance with the debt stock limit stipulated in the Municipal Law
• Furthermore, municipalities without ready project plans have their projects designed and prepared by ILBANK

To be evaluated under the project, a total allocation of 10,7 billion TL was transferred to ILBANK between 2011 and 2024 through Central Government Budget Laws.

The total size of the project has reached 21.5 billion TL. To date, 1.438 infrastructure projects have been completed, while 77 projects are still ongoing.
